AUSTIN, TX, August 28, 2007 -- SmallCapVoice.com, Inc., a recognized corporate consulting firm known for its ability to help emerging growth companies build a following among retail and institutional investors, provides the following market commentary and small cap stock highlights:
Stocks are extending their early morning losses amid continued worries about the overall economy. The Conference Board reported that consumer confidence fell in August amid volatile financial markets and continued credit worries. The sharpest decline in home prices since 1987, as reported by Standard & Poor's housing index, is also contributing to pressure on stocks. The release of the Fed's minutes from its meeting three weeks did little to assure investors about the Fed’s willingness to cut interest rates to buoy the financial markets. Treasuries are higher due to a flight to safety. In midday trading, the Dow is down 163.88, or 1.23 percent, to 13,158.25.
Zippi(TM) Networks, Inc. (Pink Sheets: ZPNW), the innovative force empowering a new generation of online sellers, today announced a 600 percent increase in the number of Internet users around the world who visited http://www.zippi.com over the last three months.
