In 2009, the total production of 17.7 million ounces was up 47.3 percent compared to the 2008 production which was at 12 million ounces. Same circumstance for gold as well, which had a total production of 72,112 ounces with an increase of 56.4% from 2008 record of 46,115 ounces. Year end Production recorded levels of Silver to be at 269 million ounces and Gold at 2.9 million ounces, with percentages ranging from 16 to 26%.
