Spinach recalled due to Salmonella

Metz Fresh has issued a spinach recall after routine company testing came up positive for Salmonella. Consumers are being advised to throw the spinach out or take it back for a refund.

The recalled spinach is the only product from the company that is affected. Bags as well as cartons that are being recalled have the tracking codes of 12208114, 12208214, and 12208314. The products where distributed in the United States and Canada.

Consumers with symptoms such as fever, abdominal cramps and diarrhea are asked to seek medical help immediately as these are signs of Salmonella poisoning.
