Christina Ryan, Mrs. Tennessee, Bitten by Rattlesnake
Christina Ryan, Mrs. Tennessee 2007, was only trying to get to her Mrs. America rehearsals on Sunday but found herself in the intensive care unit at Tucson Medical Center after she was bitten by a rattlesnake.
Mrs. Tennessee, along with her fellow Mrs. America contestants, were at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Arizona when the rattlesnake caught the foot of Christina Ryan while she was walking down a flight of steps.
It was a fellow contestant who actually pulled the fangs out of Ryan’s foot and then alerted 911. Ryan was given anti-venom treatments and pain medication and spent the evening at the hospital.
Ryan is reportedly doing fine now.
