Bridgeport Ventures to Start Diamond Drilling Program at Rosario, Tamara, Soesmi and Simonette Properties in Chile on March 1, 2010

Bridgeport Ventures Inc. (TSX-V: BPV) will start a 10,000 meter diamond drill program at its Rosario property on March 1, 2010. The program will also cover the company’s Tamara, Soesmi and Simonetta properties in Chile, which are adjacent to its Rosario property.

A 3km long zone of mineralization will be evaluated to a depth of 300 meters in the initial phase of the drilling program from Simonetta in the east to Soesmi in the west. Drill targets were identified with the company’s exploration team based on geological mapping and sampling, which began on the property in early January. The targets were then further define using a review of a recently acquired geophysical survey of the Rosario property.
