Owners Jeff Inman and Robb See point to Scheffler’s small business credentials as a primary reason for their endorsement. “Downtown is full of old money and career bureaucrats, so small business owners like us don’t have a voice,” See said. “Bernie can give us the voice we need.”
See also noted a deep concern about urban gas drilling, both from a business and personal standpoints. “There’s no question in my mind that urban gas drilling will hurt property values in our area,” See said. “And I feel strongly that it’s just not safe. What if there’s an explosion? What happens when every 15 minutes loaded water trucks are barreling through people’s neighborhoods where they’re trying to raise their kids?”
