Devendra Banhartto Release New Album

Devendra Barnhart plans to release a forthcoming album  that will be accompanied by a six week North American Tour.

The new album, entitled ‘Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon,’ is set to be released in the United States on September 25, 2007.

Devendra Banhart, who recently arrived from a European tour, plans to start  another tour in North America beginning September 1 in Vancouver. Following a performance at Seattle's Bumbershoot Festival the next day, Devendra Banhart and his band will headline theaters in North America through mid October.

Previously this week Devendra Banhart officially released his album’s first single "Tonada Yanomaminista".

This 16 track album has been described by sources as a “nocturnal feel with performances that respectively evoke hushed, twilight atmospherics or boisterous, late night partying."
