John Edwards Attacks Mitt Romney's Health Care Reform Efforts

Although Senator John Edwards seemed hesitant to admit his direct attack on Senator Hillary Clinton last Thursday, he had no qualms on attacking the new health care reform plan of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Senator Edwards challenge Governor Romney to explain why his universal health care reform plan is good for the state of Massachusetts and why it is not good for the people of New Hampshire.

John Edwards has seen his poll numbers slip on USAElectionPolls.com and it is believed that he has since been trying to appeal to the grassroots movements with such statements.

Although Senator Edwards is a great believer of good health care programs for the country, he is critical of the idea of Romney to put conservative and market-based principles to work. He is not comfortable with the ideas which were presented by the Romney campaign on health care. Note that the universal health care reform plan which was unveiled by Governor Romney last August 24 presents some bold moves to improve the health care system of the country. The main framework of the health care reform plan is to expand access to affordable, quality private health care insurance to all people in the United States by bringing market dynamic and advanced technology to healthcare.

According to the proposed health care plan reform of Governor Romney, Federal spending on “free care” should be redirected to help the low-income uninsured to purchase private insurance. To the many analysts who scrutinized the proposed health care reform plan, although the ideas of Romney is quite plausible, the implementation of such plan may meet a lot of problems along the way and it may not be viable in some areas of the country.
