Japanese Business Legend to Lead Delegates at nanoTX’07

Dr. Tadashi Sasaki, a founder of the modern day Sharp Corporation, will lead a delegation of corporate leaders from Japan to Dallas in October

Returning for the second year in a row during International Nanotechnology Week, Dr. Sasaki (still sharp at age 94) will be a featured speaker at nanoTX’07 conference and trade expo October 3-4.  Held each year at the Dallas Convention Center, this is the most comprehensive nanotechnology event outside of Tokyo.

Dr. Sasaki is considered a giant of Japanese industry, the force behind Sharp's dominance in the electronic marketplace, and one of few men who brought Japan economic dominance after WWII.   He is often described as “gifted…, someone with the genius, vision, discipline, and persistence (that drove) the (Sharp) company into a new realm.”

A contemporary of Dr. John Bardeen, one of the co-inventors of the transistor, Dr. Sasaki has been very active in promoting semiconductor technology to the Japanese government and building Sharp into the powerhouse it is today.

Dr. Sasaki will be in good company as top technical and management from major firms in the US & abroad have already registered to attend.
