USAElectionPolls, a site dedicated to archiving polls for the 2008 election, has dugg up the results of the latest Texas state poll that shows Fred Thompson has the lead. Fred Thompson was extremely successful at the Texas GOP straw poll with his second place performance -- considering he was not an announced candidate nor did he even show up.
Rudy Giuliani is second with 21%. Following Thompson and Giuliani are Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, John McCain, and Ron Paul with 15%, 13%, 8%, and 5% respectively.
