German Police Searching for Islamic Radicals involved in Bomb Plot

An international hunt for ten Islamic radicals involved in the foiled plot to blow up German airports and U.S. installations in Germany has been launched by police.

Germany’s Deputy Interior Minister August Hanning announced “Terrorist attacks need preparation. We are trying to identify all of those who were working in the shadows.”

Members of Germany’s GSG9 anti-terrorist unit arrested three men on Tuesday after storming a rented house near Frankfurt. According to police the men had stockpiled more than 1,500 pounds of chemicals that were intended to be used in their attacks.

German police now believe the three men had at least ten accomplices in the plot and have begun to comb the country searching for information regarding the plot. On Wednesday police raided an Islamic centre in the German town of Ulm and seized documents and computers in hopes they will discover a trail that will identify the additional radicals involved in the bomb plot.
