Chevron (NYSE: CVX) Executive VP Charles James Resigns

 

Chevron Corp. (NYSE: CVX) announced Thursday that executive vice president Charles James, who runs the company’s legal strategy, will resign the company, effective May 2, according to Associated Press.

 

James plans to become join the adjunct faculty of the law school at Arizona State University and pursue other charitable ventures. He will be succeeded by vice president and general counsel R. Hewitt Pate.

Prior to Chevron, James was an U.S. assistant attorney general charge of the Antitrust Division at the U.S. Department of Justice for eight years.

 

Chevron shares fell 23 cents to $72.11 at Thursday’s close.
