Shaquille O'Neal Injured

Shaquille O’Neal will not play with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday because of a thumb injury. On Thursday night, O’Neal sustained what has been described as a “significant right thumb sprain.” The injury appeared to happen when Glen Davis of the Boston Celtics blocked one of O’Neal’s shots in the first half of the game. Shortly thereafter, a timeout was called to take O’Neal out of the game. Teammate LeBron James said “We need him out there.” The Cavaliers said that O’Neal will be re-evaluated on Friday.
