The Dow Jones industrial average was down 1.22, or 0.01 percent, to 13,307.17. The Standard & Poor's 500 index was down 0.19, or 0.01 percent, to 1,471.30, and the Nasdaq composite index was up 1.40, or 0.05 percent, to 2,598.87.
