Madeleine McCann case: Police confiscate mother Kate McCann’s diary

A new development in the Madeleine McCann case could seal her parent’s fate of possibly being charged with murder. Portuguese police confiscated what is believed to be Kate McCann’s diary.

The diary was seized by police so they could better understand the McCann’s habits. The diary is a handwritten account of the McCann’s stay in Portugal and police believe that it may contain clues to Madeleine’s whereabouts.

Police believe that the four year old is already dead and have found new evidence that could possible prove Madeleine’s parents, Gerry and Kate McCann, are responsible for the disappearance and death of their daughter.

Traces of Madeleine’s blood was recently found in a car the McCann’s rented 25 days after their daughter went missing. Gerry and Kate were officially named suspects, but continue to deny they had anything to do with the disappearance of Madeleine.

A potential search for Madeleine’s body could be conducted in the areas that are undergoing roadwork near the McCann’s rented holiday apartment.

Officials are seeking approval by a judge for the confiscated diary and are seeking approval on several other requests including searches, tighter bail conditions and the seizure of other items including Madeleine’s favorite toy, Cuddle Cat. Kate has been known to constantly carry the stuffed animal with her. Police believe that the toy could provide more clues and evidence about Madeleine’s case.

The judge has 10 days to approve or deny the requests. Police are working on the theory that Kate accidentally killed Madeleine by an overdose of some sort and Gerry McCann helped his wife cover up the crime.
