Edwards has been campaigning for several months on several very important issues. During his bid for the Democratic nomination, he has begun to speak very opinionatedly about things that are important to him and therefore important to several of his main campaign points. His campaign rhetoric has taken a not surprising upward turn in the last few days, as the rhetoric of all of the candidates has risen dramatically and the bid for the nomination becomes harder.
John Edwards has caught up to Barack Obama in New Hampshire according to the latest polls.
One of John Edward’s main sticking points is still the anti-lobbyist platform that he has been following. Edwards has maintained his attacks on the Washington lobbyists, and they have gotten more and more severe the longer the pre-election goes on. He feels that taking money from lobbyists is not a proper thing to do, which puts him at odds with Hillary Clinton, who has stipulated that she will continue to take money from lobbyists. Edwards maintains that lobbyist money will sway opinions, while Clinton says that her opinion isn’t going to be swayed one way or the other by money. This is one of the vast differences in the opinions of these two candidates, who are both vying for the democratic nomination for president in the election of 2008.
