Treasuries have recovered somewhat but remain lower amid the strength in equities.

The Dow Jones industrial average closed up 132.74, or 1.00 percent, to 13,424.39. The Standard & Poor's 500 index was up 12.39, or 0.84 percent, to 1,483.95, and the Nasdaq composite index was up 8.99, or 0.35 percent, to 2,601.06.
