Another highly anticipated comedy for the fall, releases ‘Mr. Woodcock’, directed by Craig Gillespie. With an all-star crew consisting of Billy Bob Thornton, Seann William Scott and Susan Sarandon, this film is for audiences all of all sizes and for those with a lot of humor.
In ‘Mr. Woodcock’, every junior-high school geek’s worst nightmare comes to life. John Farley played by Seann William Scott, is a chubby kid with no athletic skills and low-esteem. As that same kid in junior-high, his gym teacher played by Billy Bob Thornton takes the time out every given chance to torment John and kids similar to him.
However, over the years, John has undergone major physical changes and has come to terms with his self-image. Meanwhile, he is now a best selling author who published a self-help book on overcoming obstacles of the past.
As John comes to visit his mom, Beverly, played by Susan Sarandon, she awaits to tell him that she is getting married again. But, of course his mother’s fiancée is none other than the Mr. Woodcock. Determined to keep his mom from making a big mistake as well as getting revenge from years before, John encounters the worse of the worse.
‘Mr. Woodcock’ is due in theaters Friday, September 14, 2007.
