Madonna Visits Israel Again

The famous pop star Madonna has met with Israeli President Shimon Peres to talk peace. During their meeting on Saturday, the two exchanged gifts and discussed matters of world peace and other spiritual topics.

Madonna, who was on a spiritual pilgrimage with husband Guy Ritchie, also attended a conference on Jewish mysticism or what is known to most celebrities, the practice of Kabbalah. She also plans to visit sites sacred to Kabbalists.

Even though some Rabbis criticize non-Jewish believers, Madonna, amongst other celebrities take the practice of Kabbalah as a way to cleanse the body and the mind.

Madonna, who was raised a Roman Catholic, has adopted the Hebrew name Esther and has been seen wearing a red thread around her wrist. Kabbalists believe that by wearing the thread it wards off the evil eye.

Israel can expect to see other celebrities such as movie star Demi Moore and her husband, actor Ashton Kutcher, former talk show host Rosie O'Donnell and American fashion designer Donna Karan at the Kabbalah conference this week.

It has been three years since Madonna visited Israel centered on her Kabbalah beliefs.
