Kanye West Still Leads in Record Sales Over 50 Cent

Rapper Kanye West’s latest album ‘Graduation’ leads in first week record sales. Kanye West’s sold 781,000 for ‘Graduation’ while reportedly 50 Cent sold 603,000 of ‘Curtis’.

Both rap albums were released on September 11, 2007. 50 Cent previously stated “that he would retire from the music business” if his album ‘Curtis' failed to beat Kanye’s ‘Graduation’.

Although music fans are buying both albums, Kanye West is currently selling more albums than rapper opponent 50 Cent. Reports state that the official record sales tally won't be made public until Wednesday September 19,2007.
