It still isn’t clear exactly how Fred Thompson is going to play out. No one is quite sure what he is going to be doing, all that anyone knows is that he is working on raising enough money to mount a great campaign for the nomination.
This is no small feat, and it is something that all of the candidates are focusing on, on a regular basis. Raising money to actually compete in an election is something that is hard to do. Lots of candidates struggle with this matter. However, Fred Thompson has something else up his sleeve that might make it easier.
Because of Thompson’s history in movies, he has always been a highly known figure. He has played this up by doing much of his early campaigning on the internet. He has not participated in the other debates that his fellow Republicans have been a part of, and he has opted for working alone on the internet instead. Much of his early campaign has been online, with websites, podcasts, and blogs being his most important way of communicating with the public.
How does this sit with the nation now? And how does it look for him in the future? Well, there is a lot to be said about a candidate who knows his way around a computer. Many candidates rely on their tech people to set up websites and work for them, so a lot of people are going to trust Thompson because he is able to do it himself. It is also a sure fire way of reaching the younger crowd, as well.
