Simpson is accused to storming a hotel room and stealing sports memorabilia. Victims of the raid say they were held at gunpoint by Simpson and five other men. Simpson denies there were weapons involved and says he was merely getting personal items back that were stolen from him. Alfred Beardsley, the dealer the items were stole from, claims the sports memorabilia belonged to him.
If convicted the 60-year-old former football player faces up to 30 years in prison for each count.
Simpson has also been under the media’s attention lately as his book, ‘If I Did It: Confessions of the Killer,’ was recently published. Simpson was notoriously tried for the 1994 murder of his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman. He was acquitted of the charges in 1995. He wrote the book ‘If I Did It’ as a recount of the murders had he actually committed them.
