Two of our Democratic candidates have experience inside of the white house that may lead to victory in the 2008 presidential election. Former first lady, Hillary Clinton and former vice president, Al Gore has experience in the white house. According to USA Election Polls (USAElectionPolls.com), Gore has an overall standing of 16% at this time and has a strong hold in Michigan.
Both of these candidates have seen the workings of the white house first hand. With this knowledge under their belt it would make sense for our candidates to be heavy on the minds of American voters. Hillary Clinton is the top runner for our Democratic candidates, carrying a 41% favor of American voters on CNN.com. She stands for several of the issues that concern the majority of Americans.
Concerns such as an end to the war in Iraq, the healthcare system, Energy concerns and global warming are coming into the scene. Al Gore is at this time an undeclared candidate and is currently focused on his growing Global Warming campaign. He has been working steadily to raise awareness of Global Warming and how we can help prevent further damage to our planet. While they both have had time and experience in the White House voters are still forced to review our candidates stand on this countries issues and not just experience under a former president. As worldly alliances change as well as concerns of poverty, disease and war, our candidates will have to work harder than ever before to build faith and trust in the vote for president in the race for the White House in 2008.
