When no one thought it would happen…it did. Presidential hopeful Dennis Kucinich has decided being a complete outcast is not a great idea in this Presidential race. The one thing he can agree with the other Democratic hopefuls on is the condition of the war. They are all in unison by thinking the war should indeed end. In fact, they are rallying together to lash out at President Bush and his administration regarding the war. They want to take the focus of the war and paste it all over the Republican Party, furthering their chances of a Democratic president in 2008.
Of course, according to USAElectionPolls.com Kucinich, who is the current six-term representative from Ohio is not fairing so well in the recent polls. There is not a great chance that he will surpass either Obama or Clinton for the Democratic nomination. But he must be thinking that if he can’t win the battle, he should at least help one of his fellow Democrats win the issue of the war.
When asked if he would consider running as a third party candidate, Kucinich cited the fact that the majority of Americans agree with him on the issues and that he is in it to win the Democratic nomination.
Kucinich has been known to rally on the issue of immigration in the past. He has strongly spoken that illegal immigration is a violation of the law. He wanted it to be policed more instead of simply being an issue that was talked about in politics. Of course, his comments weren’t seen as being politically safe so many backed away from agreeing with him on these issues. But now, with Kucinich now agreeing with his fellow Democrats, he might have a chance in the party.
