Sidney Crosby Helps Canada Win Gold

Canada’s victory in the men’s hockey game on Sunday was a great finish to a very entertaining Winter Olympics. In what was easily one of the most entertaining hockey games in Olympic history, Canada beat the American team 3-2 in overtime. Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins was responsible for the game-winning goal, which came as a huge relief and joy for all Canada fans, after the U.S. had tied the game with only 24 seconds left in regulation. After the game, Crosby described the special nature of the victory: “To win it in overtime, here in Canada, it doesn't get any better than that."
