George Bush Leaves Office Wide Open

For the first time since 1926, the presidential race is wide open. What this means is that most of the time, since that year anyway, either a president has been running for reelection, or his vice president has been running for president. However, this time around, which Bush limited to his two terms, and Vice President Dick Cheney saying clearly that he will not run for President, the race is completely wide open. No matter what the outcome will be, Bush will leave the White House in the hands of someone who has not been there during this previous term.

This is something that most voters going into the election 2008 don’t quite realize. However, this is the chance that voters on both sides, in both political parties, have been waiting for. With so much up for grabs, it is a wonder that both sides of the political spectrum have several good quality candidates that are currently running for the nomination? There are going to be some changes that are going to be made, and this is for sure, no matter who wins.

In this case, the primaries are going to be much more important than they ever have been. In order to win the White House, a candidate must first be the elected runner of either of the parties. With so many people who are perusing the nomination on both the democratic side and the side of the republicans, the primaries are going to be even more important this time around. According to USA Election Polls (USAElectionPolls.com), Senator Clinton and Rudy Giuliani are leading the race to replace.
