One of the major things that Hilary Clinton has had to deal with is winning her own respect. After being in her husband’s white house, and having to deal with all of the perks and problems that come along with that, she is attempting to run a race based only on what she can do and who she is.
What this means for Hilary is that she is earning her own way to the White House. Brian Mann, who is a journalist from upstate New York, contends that the voters of the United States are actually turning towards Clinton, and that they feel much better about her now than they did before she started to campaign for the Senate in 2000. At that time, the voters had a very strong dislike for her, but she proved herself through that campaign.
Mann has been studying how the voters in Upstate New York feel about their Senator. He says that since she has spent a considerable amount of time in many of the small towns, they might not love her, but they have grown to respect her and the things that she has been doing. He feels that this could translate on a larger level to the voters of the states in general. However, he feels that it is simply not going to be given to her – that she has done a lot of work to get this respect in the first place, and she is still going to have to do a lot of work to keep it. According to USA Election Polls (USAElectionPolls.com), Obama is trailing Senator Clinton by 20%.
