Rudy Giuliani and Hillary Clinton Share One Thing At Least

With all of their differences, Rudy Giuliani and Hilary Clinton are sharing one idea, at least in the polls. The polls today are saying that these two candidates are the two candidates that are the least religious of all of the candidates. While Mitt Romney is seen as the most religious, voters feel that his Mormonism might actually hurt him in the election. According to USA Election Polls (USAElectionPolls.com), Mitt Romney is running his strongest race in Iowa and Nevada. He is coming in 4th at this time within the Republican candidates.

Only 14 percent of voters consider Giuliani to be very religious. 16 percent say this about Clinton. In a nation where 7 out of 10 people say that it is important for a president to have strong religious beliefs, what does this say for most of the time front runners Giuliani and Clinton? It might end up being a major problem for them, because most of the voters in the nation want their president to have strong morals and religious ideas.

The poll also stated that for the most part, the GOP is friendly towards religion. Only 30 percent said that the Democratic Party is friendly towards religion. The organizers of the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life, who organized this poll, say that most of the people in the nation want there to be more attention paid to the various religious faiths of the candidates. This could mean that more of the candidates will be more vocal and more apparent about going to church and about what they believe in.
