Tornado Touches Down in Eustis, Florida

A tornado ripped through Eustis, Florida late Thursday night knocking out power and leaving several homes uninhabitable.

 

There were no reports of fatalities and only one person was believed to be injured but the twister destroyed at least 20 homes and caused damage to roofs and windows on another 30 in the Lake County city located in central Florida.

 

According to WESH the hardest hit area was confined to a six-block stretch in the city and left several cars overturned and structural damage to buildings.

 

Eustis, Florida is located 30 miles northwest of Orlando and was the site of a Feb. 2 tornado that killed 20 people.
