Crosshair Exploration & Mining Appoints Stewart Wallis as CEO

Crosshair Exploration & Mining Corp. (TSX: CXX) (Amex: CXZ) has appointed Stewart Wallis, P.Geo. as its CEO. Mr. Wallis will assume his position immediately. He was first appointed as President in March 2009 and brings a background with over 30 years of international exploration and development experience.

Mr. Wallis takes over the position from Mark J. Morabito, who will maintain his position as Executive Chairman of the Board. Mr. Morabito will continue in his position of Executive Chairman to executive the company’s strategic initiatives, investment banking relationships and corporate messaging.

 

Mr. Wallis first started his career carrying out exploration for base and precious metals in Canada working for Cominco Ltd. He was previously employed by Consolidated Nevada Goldfields as VP Exploration involved in exploration at operating mines, and the acquisition of developing projects, which includes the Nixon Fork Gold Mine in Alaska.

 

Crosshair is a dominant player in the exploration and development of uranium, vanadium and gold in the US and Canada. Its flagship Project, Bootheel, is located in uranium mining friendly Wyoming and with its in-situ mining potential, Bootheel is designed for near term production.
