Asia Now Resources Contracts 5 Rigs for Drilling Program at Beiya Projects

 

Asia Now Resources Corp. (TSX-V: NOW) has contracted 5 rigs to begin drilling in order to define the previously discovered resources and to test new targets at its Beiya project. The drilling will begin after Chinese New Year celebrations are finished on March 1, 2010.

The Beiya project covers 2/3rds of a 13km long by 2km wide gold belt with the potential for multiple large mineralization systems including the producing Beiya Gold Mine, the largest open-pit gold mine in the Yunnan Province of China. The mine has a production capacity of up to 100,000 ounces of gold annual and is planned on being expanded in order to double its current production.
