Rudy Giuliani Talks About Taxes

No matter who becomes the next president, one of the issues that he or she will have to focus on is the tax cuts that Bush created in 2001 and 2003. These tax cuts reduced taxes on income, as well as on investment, and also expanded the child credit. Rudy Giuliani is one of the candidates who is focusing on this issue and laying plans for a firm stance on it if he becomes the Republican nominee.

According to USA Election Polls (USAElectionPolls.com), Thompson is barely trailing Guiliani and is standing at 20%. Thompson is doing best in the Southern States.

Giuliani already has a pretty firm stance on the ideas surrounding the tax cuts. He believes that the Bush tax cuts should be made permanent. He also believes that the estate tax should be cut out of the system completely, and that the alternative minimum tax should be indexed to inflation, as well as the fact that corporate taxes should be lowered.

Giuliani feels that lowering taxes is a better way to create jobs than raising taxes is. He feels that because of the tax bracket, the government is getting more from the lower taxes than it would from the higher taxes. He feels that lowering taxes at a time in which there is a national crisis is a good way to boost the quality of the jobs that are offered and the life that people are leading. He compares what he did in New York City to what he plans to do in the nation, and states that lowering taxes will lower unemployment and will allow the government to collect more money.
