Lately, there has been a move within the Republican Party to bash Hillary Clinton, and McCain is the newest member of this move. He accused Hillary of being a flip flopper for the comments that she has recently made regarding the surge in Iraq.
McCain mentioned that last Monday Clinton had told the people at the Veterans of Foreign Wars that she believed the surge in Iraq was working. However, she has changed her stance and is now telling her anti-war supporters that she does not think it is working and we should begin the withdrawal of the troops. According to McCain, this change of opinion came after Hillary Clinton received heat from activists who are anti-war.
McCain released his own statement, saying that this flip flopping is an important show of the character of Clinton, and the fact that she is changing her opinion within just a few days’ time is sending the wrong message both to the troops in Iraq and to the enemies abroad. McCain claims that Clinton has changed her view, and therefore is not trustworthy to run for president.

According to McCain, the nation should continue its support of the surge in Iraq and should continue to abide by what the generals who are actually there are saying about it.
