Mike Tyson Pleads Guilty to Drug Possession and DUI Charges, Faces Over Four Years in Prison

Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson is facing four years and three months in prison after he pled guilty to charges of drug possession and driving under the influence while in Arizona last year.

Tyson was pulled over on Dec 29 after Scottsdale, AZ police noticed his vehicle driving erratically through a nightclub parking lot. Officers found cocaine in Tyson’s possession and determined the 41-year-old had been driving under the influence.

On Monday Tyson admitted to a judge that he was guilty of the charges and now faces sentencing on Nov. 19. He could find himself in prison for just over four years if the judge follows the advice of the County Attorney Andrew Thomas who said “He has run out of second chances, at least in my book.”

According to Tyson’s lawyer Mike has been clean and sober for eight months and taking part in treatment programs to manage his problems.
