Cholera in Iraq spreads

The World Health Organization (WHO) has confirmed the outbreak of Cholera is spreading in Iraq. New cases have been confirmed in Baghdad and Basra. The disease has spread to new areas including Tikrit, Mosul and Dahuk.

WHO has confirmed 2,116 cases and 11 deaths. More than 30,000 people have suffered from acute watery diarrhea which is often symptoms of Cholera.

 

A Cholera expert with WHO says the disease spreads because people are moving.
