Spanish reporters say girl in photo is not Madeleine McCann
On Wednesday a photo surfaced of a young girl resembling the missing British girl Madeleine McCann. The blonde, light skinned girl was being carried by a Moroccan woman outside of a northern Moroccan town.
The picture was turned over to police and is being investigated. Spanish reporters claim the girl in the picture isn’t Madeleine. Rashid Razaq says he flew to
“She has got a resemblance to Madeleine but when you see her properly, it obviously isn’t her,” Razaq said.
Madeleine’s parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, were named suspects in their daughter’s case after police found traces of Madeleine’s DNA in a car the couple rented 25 days after their daughter’s disappearance. Police believe Kate McCann accidentally killed the four year old by an overdose of sleeping pills and Gerry helped cover up the crime.
The outcome of the photo analysis could change the McCann’s status in their daughters case.
