Chris Chelios Signs With Thrashers

Chris Chelios has signed a contract with the Atlanta Thrashers.  However, the Thrashers plan to leave him with the Chicago Wolves if he clears waivers.  Atlanta’s intention is to only use Chelios if deemed necessary, such as if they run into injury problems.  Otherwise, he will remain in Chicago.
