Force10 Networks Inc. announced Tuesday that the computer network equipment maker plans to raise $143.8 million in an initial public offering, according to Associated Press.
The company plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, according to a Tuesday filing statement.

The company will trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "FTEN."
The company is run by Henry Wasik, who was a senior vice president at the French telecommunications equipment maker Alcatel-Lucent SA (NYSE: ALU) before joining Force10 as CEO in 2004.
