The three major indices finished with minor gains on Tuesday after teetering between positive and negative territory over the course of trading. Selling in the afternoon negated morning gains leaving the Dow Jones Industrial Index to close up by 2.2 points or 0.02 percent to end the day at10406.0. The Nasdaq Composite was also up narrowly by 7.2 points or 0.32 recent to 2280.8. The broader S&P 500 tacked on 2.6 points or 0.23 percent to close at 1118.3 on Tuesday.
