New Way of Rehabilitation Allows Addicts to Maintain Honesty

Drug and alcohol addiction manifests itself in several different ways. Most often it is the amount of lies and deception that an addict will weave into their lives that is a direct indication they are abusing drugs and/or alcohol. Often time’s addicts lie because they are trying to keep their addiction a secret while at other times addicts lie because they have grown so accustomed to deception that it comes natural. Whatever the reason, one of the biggest barriers to sobriety is learning how to live with truth.

Thankfully, one drug and alcohol rehab, Narconon Louisiana, uses a common-sense guide to life through treatment that illustrates the necessity for honesty and the way to attain honesty in one’s life. The Way To Happiness allows an addict to move forward with their life and shed the desire to lie and deceive.

Narconon Louisiana is a long-term, inpatient rehab that acknowledges this barrier, and works one on one with a client until honesty is regained and the individual is able to move forward from their past. Melissa*, a recent Way To Happiness graduate, explains what her life was like before completing this course. “I knew I was lying to everyone I loved but I had it so justified that I convinced myself it was for their own good. Lying allowed me to protect the people I loved the most.”

Melissa goes on to say, “of course everyone wanted me to be sober, but I felt like what they were asking me to do was impossible – until I found Narconon Louisiana”

Clients that enroll in the Narconon program have the opportunity to really clean up past transgressions and start being honest and ethical as a key part of their recovery. There are many steps taken during the Narconon program to achieve this but one key step is The Way To Happiness course because it helps addicts who have forgotten how to live in society and helps them to make a smooth transition back into their lives.

“After completing all the other steps to the Narconon program,
The Way To Happiness helped me tie up all the loose ends. It was the perfect final step that I needed in order to regain the life that I lost with drugs and alcohol” explains Melissa.

Prior to enrolling in The Way To Happiness course, clients have completed seven steps as part of the Narconon program including a part of the program where they are able to handle physical drug cravings using a safe, drug-free method called the New Life Detoxification program.

Being honest and learning how to maintain that honesty is vital to living a drug and alcohol-free life. If you or anyone you know is in need of help with a drug and/or alcohol addiction please call
