Romney feels that there must soon be a change within the Republican party, and that the change must begin with the activists who he was speaking to, regarding the many scandals and problems that the GOP has run into as of late. According to Romney, as he spoke to the activists over the weekend, the GOP is in big trouble, and it must get back to what it was intended to be. He feels that he is the right man to bring about these changes for the party, and therefore for the country.
Romney has been arguing that the biggest problems within the GOP lay in the way that the current GOP party is handling things. Citing too much spending, too much scandal and too many programs that aren't helping anything, Romney stats that he wants to make a difference in the way that the party is run in general, and that he hopes that by making this difference within the party, he can begin to make the differences that need to be made within the country at large.
