Madonna And The Beastie Boys Nominated for The 2008 Induction into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Music legends John Mellencamp, Madonna and the Beastie Boys lead the group of nominees for the 2008 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
A total of five artist will make it into the Hall of Fame in 2008. For eligibility the nominees had to release their first single no later than 1982, the year that Madonna’s ‘Everybody’ and the Beastie boy’s ‘Polly Wog Stew’ were released.
Other artist nominated include Leonard Cohen, Afrika Bambaataa, The Ventures, Donna Summer and Chic.

Last year's inductees were Van Halen, Patti Smith, R.E.M., Grandmaster Flash, Furious Five and the Ronettes.
