General Nutrition Centers Inc. said Wednesday that its fourth-quarter profit rose 56 percent as revenue increased.
GNC, which sells nutrition supplements and products, said it earned $12.7 million for the three months that ended Dec. 31. That's up from a profit of $8.1 million during the same period in 2008.
GNC has more than 6,900 locations around the world, including nearly 1,900 shops located in Rite Aid pharmacy locations.
