Taylor Bradford to be Honored with Moment of Silence During Memphis v. Marshall Game Tuesday

Taylor Bradford, the University of Memphis football player who was shot to death on Sunday night, will be remembered with a moment of silence on Tuesday when the Tigers face the Marshall Thundering Herd.

Bradford was believed to be the victim of a targeted attack when he was shot shortly before 10:00 pm Sunday. The junior transfer from Samford University had been in a parking lot near the Carpenter Complex located on the Memphis campus.

He attempted to drive away after being shot but slammed his car into a tree. Bradford was then rushed to the Regional Medical Center in Memphis where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Head football coach Tommy West released a statement saying, “Our entire football team is deeply saddened by the loss of Taylor. He was well respected and a popular member of our team. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.”
