Brazilian Stocks Slip Wednesday

Brazilian stocks slipped on Wednesday, as early gains were lost when investors booked profits from the four consecutive sessions of gain prior. The Bovespa stock index or BVSP fell 0.2 percent to end the day at 67,641.34 on Wednesday. Only a day earlier the index was up to 68,813.43 after Greece pledged to make steep sacrifices to help assuage the problems of its budget deficit.

 

Brazil's currency, the real  (BRBY) softened, falling 0.39 percent to 1.79 per dollar.
