NBA Schedule Thursday March 4: Kobe Bryant Faces Dwyane Wade in Thursday Night Showdown Between LA Lakers and Miami Heat
The NBA schedule for Thursday night features just three games but each team is fighting for playoff position as Kobe Bryant and the LA Lakers fight for the best record when they travel to face Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat, a team holding on to the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The Memphis Grizzlies are trying to keep their playoff hopes alive and need a win in Chicago when they face the Bulls who are clinging to a playoff berth. In the nightcap the Utah Jazz head to Phoenix to face the Suns, both teams have their eyes on the number two spot in the Western Conference.
Los Angeles is trying to keep pace with the Cleveland Cavaliers for the NBA’s best record and would love nothing more than to lock up home-court throughout the playoffs. For the Heat, the goal is to just secure a playoff spot at this time. They sit just one game ahead of the Charlotte Bobcats for the eighth spot.
Utah has a half game lead over Phoenix for the number four spot in the Western Conference right now but the Suns have been playing solid as of late and could make a push for a better seed. Both teams are within striking distance of that number two seed currently held by the Dallas Mavericks.
