Ron Paul Fundraising Continues to Move Up While Fellow Republicans Take Serious Hit

According to information provided on the Ron Paul 2008 web sit, the Texas congressman and presidential hopeful continued to build momentum in the third quarter while his fellow Republican presidential candidates have suffered a major slowdown.

Ron Paul reportedly raised $5,080,000 for his Hope for America campaign during the third quarter of 2007, marking a 114 percent increase in dollars over his second quarter reports.

While Paul has seen an impressive jump in fundraising it hasn’t been the same story for Republican frontrunners Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney or John McCain. In a release posted on the Paul site a sharp decrease in financial support has hit the three as Romney suffered a 29 percent drop while Giuliani was down 40 percent and McCain felt a 55 percent drop in fundraising from the second quarter to the third.
