NBA News: Dallas Mavericks Guard Jason Terry to Undergo Surgery After Suffering Broken Orbital Bone

Dallas Mavericks guard Jason Terry is scheduled to undergo surgery on Friday to repair damage caused by a broken orbital bone he suffered in Wednesday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Terry was struck in the face by Minnesota guard Corey Brewer’s elbow in the third quarter and while he fractured his orbital bone he returned to the game and was a key contributor in the Mavs fourth quarter in which he scored seven of his game-high 26 points, leading to a 112-109 win.

Just how long Terry will be out has not been disclosed as the team is awaiting the outcome of the surgery but the 10-year vet said he didn’t expect to miss much time.
