MLB News: Aroldis Chapman to Make Spring Debut for Cincinnati Reds on Monday

The Cincinnati Reds will get their first picture of what Aroldis Chapman can do with MLB hitters on Monday when the Cuban lefty takes the mound on Monday against the Kansas City Royals.

Chapman is scheduled to pitch in relief on Monday, his first appearance in a game situation since signing a six-year, $30.25 million deal in January. That deal came shortly after the 22-year-old defected from Cuba.

Reds manager Dusty Baker said Chapman would throw on Thursday in an inner-squad game prior to his debut on Monday.
