Internet Photos Put Tennessee Teacher in Hot Water

Melinda England is a middle school teacher at Inskip Elementary School in the Knox County School system in Knoxville, Tennessee but the 28-year-old also appears to enjoy uploading questionable photos of herself on the internet.

School officials received information of the photos on Friday and sent a letter to the parents of children at the school making them aware of the situation.

While England does not appear nude in the photos she is topless and covering her breasts with her hands. The photos were discovered on her personal page on the internet social networking site MySpace.

In the letter sent to parents, assistant principal Patricia Moore stated, “We have no allegations or any information that would indicate that Ms. England has done anything inappropriate during school time or in her relationship with students.”

Teachers maintain their First Amendment rights but England could be disciplined according to Tennessee state law that has a provision addressing unprofessional behavior by teachers.
